…check out the Guild of the Seven Seals

We are the Guild of Seven Seals, founded in 1887 at Chautauqua as the graduate level of the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle. The Guild’s motto is: “To learn, to teach, to serve, to enjoy.”

Our Objective as written at Chautauqua in 1887 is To emphasize the spirit of the CLSC, to stimulate members to continue reading books, and following other lines of study offered by the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle.

We “Seals” invite all CLSC graduates to join the Guild. The Guild is all about lifelong learning and great books. To learn more about us and how to obtain membership you can visit Alumni Hall or the CLSC Veranda in summer, or in the off-season e-mail Gary Doebler at garydoebler@gmail.com.
