THE GUILD OF SEVEN SEALS
The Guild of Seven Seals was founded in 1887 as the graduate level of the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle. The Guild’s motto is “To learn, to teach, to serve, to enjoy.” It's objective, as written at Chautauqua in 1887, is to emphasize the spirit of the CLSC, to stimulate members to continue reading books, and to follow other lines of study offered by the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle.
All CLSC graduates are invited to join the Guild. To learn more about the Guild and how to obtain a membership, you can visit Alumni Hall or the CLSC Octagon in summer, or in the off-season e-mail Cate Whitcomb at indiacate@gmail.com
