KATE KIMBALL WHITE GIFTS

Kate Kimball White Gifts are a tradition at the Alumni Association. White Gifts are named in honor of Kate Kimball, the first Executive Secretary of the CLSC and called White Gifts because they were originally wrapped in white paper. These gifts are given by classes to the Alumni Association and presented to the Alumni Association President at the Vigil Service on the Sunday evening of Recognition Week.

Gifts are designated by Alumni Classes of the CLSC and may be given to fund the following projects and collections of the Alumni Association:

§  Alumni Hall/Pioneer Hall Operation Needs and Preservation
Needs such as equipment, furnishings, archival needs

§  Alumni Association Programs and Events
Programs such as Eventide, Book Talks, Alumni receptions, Recognition Week events

          §  The Historic Banner Collection
Repair and conservation of banners, replication of banners

§  The Mosaics in the Hall of Philosophy

§  The Winnifred Kemp Reading Room Collection
Maintain historic books and book list

          §  Scholarship Fund
